Project: Create an engagement ring from a 14K yellow gold brooch using original setting & provided diamond.

Steps:

  • Instructor will clean brooch before the lesson thoroughly + pull diamond from setting + pull setting off of brooch to re-use.

  • Together we’ll cut enough metal off of brooch to melt into ingot.

  • Melt/pour ingot.

  • Mill ingot into 2mm wide X 1.5mm thick half round stock.

  • Bend ring & solder head

  • Finishing & engraving

  • Instructor to re-set stone in setting.
