Beginning casting for jewelry - $425
This workshop comprehensively scratches the surface of lost wax casting. Please be sure that you are able to attend all 3 sessions. Check out the gallery below to see a glimpse of the whole process!
Class 1: Carve a simple signet ring from start to finish.
Between Classes: Practice carving and prepare extras for casting.
Class 2: Add sprues and create an investment mold.
Class 3: Cast your flask and learn finishing techniques and troubleshooting for cast objects.
REQUIRED - We will be working with investment in this class which can be very dangerous to your health without proper protection. Please purchase and bring to class a respirator that's appropriate for protection against silica particulates. Respirator recommendations will be sent after you purchase a ticket.
Must be at least 18 years old to participate.
Cancellation Policy: You may cancel or transfer your workshop reservation up to 30 days prior to the workshop’s start date, less a $50 deposit fee. No refunds will be issued if cancelling less than 30 days prior to your workshop, unless you’re able to fill your seat or we’re able to from our waitlist.

This 9-hour workshop guides you from carving to finished piece.

Once a month, those with required experience will have an opportunity to cast a flask (or more). Membership not required, but must have taken our Beginning Casting or gained necessary training to properly invest your flask using Alloy studio equipment.

Once you’ve participated in several Foundry Fridays - assisted, you’ll have the option to cast on your own with a casting membership. Monthly fee TBD.
Foundry Friday’s - unassisted will happen weekly on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Fridays of the month.
