IF you have prior casting experience, you must complete investment training to participate in Foundry Fridays. Otherwise, You must have taken our comprehensive Beginning Casting for Jewelryclass.

Every first Thursday you’ll have the opportunity to book a 15 minute investment appointment between 10AM & 1PM. This appointment gives you access to the studio to prep & invest your flask. Your waxes should be weighed and attached to the flask base at the start of your appointment time so that everyone can be accommodated.

Sign up for a 15 minute investment time slot to reserve your flask. If casting multiple flasks, sign up for the multiple investment spots. You will be automatically added to the following day’s casting roster.
Make sure your waxes/trees are prepped and ready to be added to your flask base prior to your appointment time.
Invest! Our studio will be open when you arrive and our casting assistant will be available to help if you have any questions or concerns.
Casting will happen the following day, Friday, from 1PM to approximately 2:30PM. The order flasks are cast will be at the discretion of our casting assistant. Please arrive on time and be prepared to stay for the full 90 minutes.

Flask Fee = $55 per flask. (20% off for members) This includes the cost of investment, kiln management, and casting assistance from our resident casting expert, Louise.

No problem! Just schedule a separate 15 minute investment appointment PER FLASK.

The first Friday of each month (unless otherwise noted) the studio will be dedicated to assisted casting. Up to 6 flasks can be cast per session. The order that flasks are cast is at the discretion of our casting assistant, so folks should be prepared to stay for the entire session, 1-2:30PM, but you’re free to go as soon as your flask has been cast and you’ve thoroughly cleaned up.

More details coming soon, BUT once you’ve participated in several Foundry Fridays and have approval, you’ll be eligible for a casting membership. With a casting membership, you’ll gain access to our studio to utilize casting equipment ONLY. Investment & Casting will continue to be scheduled on Thursdays (10AM-1PM) & Fridays (1-2:30PM) but you will no longer need assistance. No more flask fees! Your membership will cover all investment, wax, and kiln management costs!
Step 1 - orientation
For experienced casters only. We’ll need to give you a tour of the studio, show you our equipment, and make sure you’re able to use it safely. No experience? Sign up for a Beginning Casting for Jewelry class HERE.
Step 2 - invest!
Book a 15 minute investment time slot below. Casting is a two day process. Please make sure you’re available the Friday directly following your investment appointment from 1-2:30PM. You will automatically be added to the casting roster after booking this appointment.
step 3 - CAST!
With a little help, of course. Our instructor Louise will be by your side while you melt your metal, offering advice as you go. When your metal is close to molten, she’ll remove the flask from the kiln and prep the casting table for your pour. While Louise is happy to lead you through the process, we expect that this WILL NOT be your first pour. Additionally, this is a community studio and we do not take any responsibility for the outcome of your casting, good or bad.
