  • Bench Membership is for:

    Metalsmiths + Jewelers (w/ experience) who want a professional workspace without the cost, mess, or safety concerns of setting up at home. Especially great for those who work independently but thrive in a creative, community setting.

    What You Get :

    • Professional shared bench setup — adjustable chair, flex shaft, and personal locker

    • Shared soldering station — Smith Silversmith Torch (Acetylene + Air), Smith Little Torch (Propane + Oxygen), small + large butane torches

    • Access to extensive shared tools and equipment > Full List

    • 24/7 studio access (except during workshops/events)

    • PLUS all Social + Maker Benefits (see above)

    What You Don’t Get:

    • Casting equipment — coming soon as a separate program

    • You’ll need to bring your own hand tools, consumables, and materials

    Due to the slightly dangerous nature of metalsmithing, bench memberships are limited and require application approval.

    Designated Bench Membership is for:

    Metalsmiths + Jewelers (w/ experience) who like to leave their tools where they left them and pick up right where they stopped. This membership is for anyone who wants a private, fully equipped space without the hassle of setting up a studio at home, and who prefers to leave the mess “at work”.

    What You Get :

    • A dedicated bench in one of two private studios, Studio Jasper or Studio Agate, each with a locking door and legit views of downtown Kansas City

    • 24/7 access to your personal workspace (never interrupted by workshops or events)

    • YOUR OWN bench setup with flex shaft, work light, tool shelf, and adjustable chair

    • YOUR OWN locking mobile cabinet and design table for expanded workspace and storage

    • Access to a shared soldering station within your studio, equipped with Smith Silversmith Torch (Acetylene + Air), Smith Little Torch (Propane + Oxygen), and butane torches

    • Full use of Alloy’s shared tools and equipment in the main studio

    • PLUS all Social + Maker Benefits (see above)

    What You Don’t Get:

  • Day Pass is for:

    Metalsmiths + Jewelers (w/ experience) who can work independently but want occasional access to specialized tools they don’t have at home—like the hydraulic press, rolling mills, draw bench, etc—or who’d like to try out the studio before joining as a member.

    A short visit is required to confirm experience and safe equipment use before booking.

    What you get:

    • 5 Hours Studio Use

    • 24/7 studio access (except during workshops/events)

    • Same bench, tools, and equipment access as the Bench Membership (see above)
